Nature in the Balance: CO2 Sequestration

Reducing our CO2 footprint is a complex issue. Most of the CO2 that humans release to the atmosphere comes from the use of fossil fuels for energy; however, maintaining our energy flow is critical to our economy and our quality of life.

Carbon sequestration, the capture and long-term storage of CO2 from the atmosphere or from large CO2 sources like power plants, is emerging as a major strategy for addressing climate change concerns. "Nature in the Balance: CO2 Sequestration" takes the viewer from the basic information on CO2, to how CO2 is related to energy use, and how CO2 sequestration fits into the mix of CO2 management strategies.

"Nature in the Balance: CO2 Sequestration" premiered May 12, 2005, on Prairie Public Television.
