The 2022 Plains CO2 Reduction (PCOR) Partnership Annual Meeting will be held May 24–25, 2022, at the Marriott Anchorage Downtown in Anchorage, Alaska.

•    The meeting kicks off on Tuesday, May 24, with lunch and a workshop entitled “PCOR Partnership: Breaking Down the Barriers in CCUS”, followed by a networking social event at the hotel.*
•    The meeting continues Wednesday, May 25, followed by a networking social and dinner.*

The PCOR Partnership Initiative to Accelerate Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) Deployment, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, the North Dakota Industrial Commission, and participating member organizations, will foster the deployment of CCUS in the PCOR Partnership region. The Energy & Environmental Research Center leads the PCOR Partnership Initiative in collaboration with the University of Wyoming and the University of Alaska at Fairbanks.

The PCOR Partnership is addressing regional capture, transport, use, and storage challenges facing commercial CCUS deployment by:
  • •    Strengthening the technical foundation for geologic CO2 storage and enhanced oil recovery.
  • •    Advancing capture technology.
  • •    Improving application of monitoring technologies.
  • •    Promoting integration between capture, transportation, use, and storage industries.
  • •    Providing scientific support to regulatory agencies and policy makers.
