Requirements:
- Assist in preparing budgets according to guidelines of the sponsoring agency’s request for proposal (RFP). Inform principal investigator (PI) of required financial information. Determine the budget display and budget template to meet RFP, sponsoring agency, and cost-share requirements to appropriately budget the scope of work.
- Assist in preparation of an accurate representation of budgets in accordance with official sponsor RFPs and EERC and university guidelines, ensuring that the budget includes appropriate categories and budgeted dollars. Work with BA team to complete budget documentation accurately and with appropriate documentation for subcontractors, consultants, equipment, etc.
- Review proposals’ text to ensure that costs are budgeted as mentioned in the text, milestones match the period of performance, and the cost section is clear and understandable to the sponsoring agency.
- Input proposal budget information to RMS projections and update as appropriate until the project is awarded, rejected, or withdrawn.
- Assist the BA team in post-award budget needs to meet deadlines.
- Accurately review/adjust the setup of funded and working budgets in RMS to reflect the status of the award and to maintain the appropriate personnel projections for EERC staff.

Requirements:
- Conduct technical work related to energy production, alternative energy systems, and/or natural resource systems related to energy that could integrate the following components: theoretical/laboratory testing, equipment design, pilot/field demonstrations, engineering designs, regulatory policies, economics, and markets.
- Manage and execute tasks in a manner to successfully complete project objectives on time and on budget within client expectations.
- Effectively and professionally communicate with all EERC groups (e.g., Leadership, technical teams, support staff, etc.). Effectively and professionally communicate with EERC management and clients as pertinent on project status, progress, and any issues/solutions.
- Effectively and professionally communicate with clients outside the EERC, including assisting with proposal preparation and reporting to assure that client goals are accurately described and addressed.

Requirements:
- Work with EERC subject matter experts, principal investigators, and EERC leadership to conduct laboratory analyses and experiments and interpret laboratory data to support research activities related to energy development, carbon management, and development of natural resources.
- Work as part of a diverse, multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to ensure that laboratory work is successfully completed on time, on budget, and within client expectations.
- Perform analytical research focused on chemical and geochemical evaluation of critical minerals, various combustion fuels and by-products, catalysts, water, oil, rocks, and other natural and manmade materials.
- Ensure that laboratory data and results are of excellent quality and integrated with the theoretical, modeling, and field components of related EERC research efforts.
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols, and assist in regular review and updating of laboratory safety plans.
