The EERC is looking for a Software Developer whose primary focus is to design, create, test, troubleshoot, and maintain new and existing software applications (desktop, Web-based, and mobile), many of which are database-driven.
The EERC is looking for a Postdoc Research Fellow whose primary focus is to develop suites of advanced real-time control algorithms for smart charging of electric vehicles (EVs); design, develop and test agent-based control systems for management of EV charging under multiple smart charging scenarios; work with research engineers and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary R&D teams including researchers within and outside the EERC; prepare technical reports, journal articles, and conference articles and deliver presentations regarding research findings; and develop proposals and secure funding for research projects.
The EERC is looking for a Research Chemist whose primary focus is to work in strong collaboration with EERC subject matter experts, principal investigators, and EERC leadership to conduct laboratory analyses and experiments and to interpret laboratory data to support research activities related to energy production from coal and oil, recovery of rare-earth elements (REEs) and other critical minerals from domestic resources, and characterization of fluids related to oil production.
The EERC is looking for a Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry Scientist whose primary focus is to work in strong collaboration with EERC subject matter experts, principal investigators, and EERC leadership to conduct laboratory analyses and experiments and interpret laboratory data to support research activities related to improved production of unconventional oil and gas reservoirs, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) in unconventional and conventional formations and fuels analysis; work as part of a diverse, multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to ensure that laboratory work is successfully completed on time, on budget, and within client expectations; perform analytical research focused on chemical and geochemical evaluation of water, oil, rocks and other natural and man-made materials; ensure that laboratory data and results are of excellent quality and integrated with the theoretical, modeling, and field components of related EERC research efforts; adhere to laboratory safety protocols and assist in regular review and updating of laboratory safety plans; work closely with senior staff, project managers, and laboratory staff to develop and expand the research-based efforts occurring in the laboratories; set up equipment and instrumentation to allow for chemical and geochemical analysis of oil and rock samples; and provide technical assistance on projects related to CO2 EOR, CO2 storage, unconventional hydrocarbon recovery, natural resource management, biofuels development, critical resource characterization and recovery, geologic and synthetic materials characterization, and the environmental aspects of energy development.
The EERC is looking for a Paralegal whose primary focus is to assist in preparing and processing simple modifications to agreements such as no-cost extensions, changes in project managers, etc.; assist in the preparation of property, patent, and other required interim or closeout reports; assist Contract Officers during agreement negotiation and administration with client follow-up; assist Contract Officers with Intellectual Property processes and workflows and improvements to the same; assist Contract Officers with cost-share reporting and other administrative agreement tasks; prepare documents, process setups, and prepare and update project summaries for master service agreements, multiclient agreements, and simple projects; perform basic regulatory and legal research as needed to assist Contract Officers in solving contractual matters; and input information into Contracts Office databases and documents. Continue providing input/feedback along with team on expansion of the databases.
